About Me
Learn how I bridge science-based behavior and empathy to support safer horse-human partnerships.

Laura Bruno is an equine behaviour and relationship-based practitioner working at the intersection of horse behaviour, communication, and human awareness.
Through her work Between Horse & Human, she supports horse owners in understanding and resolving behavioural challenges by focusing on the interaction itself—how horses perceive, respond, and communicate within the relationship.
Rather than addressing behaviour as something to fix, Laura works to identify its underlying causes, helping clients recognize patterns related to emotional state, clarity of cues, environment, and handling. Her approach is grounded in observation, equine behavioural science, and practical, experience-based insight.
Laura is internationally trained in equine-assisted facilitation and has completed studies in equine welfare through the University of Guelph’s Equine Guelph program. Her background includes training with Eponaquest Worldwide, Equisource (Canada), Nadine Bell Coaching con Caballos (Argentina), and Equintessence (France).
With experience across diverse equine environments, including polo and equine-assisted settings, she brings a nuanced understanding of both performance and relational dynamics. Her work bridges the gap between what is asked of horses and how they naturally communicate, supporting more ethical, effective, and sustainable outcomes.
Laura works with clients through private sessions, on-site visits, and consultations, offering clear guidance that empowers both horse and human.

Understanding Horses, Supporting Humans
I combine formal study in equine behavior with years of hands-on handling to uncover why your horse reacts, spooks, or resists. Together we create realistic, welfare-centered plans that prioritize safety, calm communication, and confidence for both horse and human.
